Ward Christmas Breakfast

This year I was asked to help plan the Christmas ward activity and we decided to do a Christmas breakfast.  Our ward had so much fun! After eating breakfast we did some Holiday games.  The first age group were the men and Todd was asked by our MC to participate.  Six men had to "gift wrap" a rugby ball and whoever did the "best," determined by audience applause, won the prize.  Well Todd was off to a really bad start and at one point unwrapped his rugby ball put it on one of it's point and just crumpled paper around it.  He then went around and around and around with the tape untill finally the paper stayed together and added about 5 bows.  Once the one minute time was up, he kicked the ball sending every bow off in a small explosion.  Of course Todd won even though his was the worst wrapped rugby ball, but he's always a crowd favorite and brought back to our chairs a Reeses pieces candy cane!

 Soren wanted to hangout up front with the second counselor of the Bishopric and help get the activity started.

I was responsible for Santa and taking pictures of all the children with Santa.  One of my good friends helped me with the backdrop and we wanted the entire backdrop to be tinseled garland.  However, we underestimated how much garland it would take to create our desired effect and once we did know, the project was too expensive.  Thanks to Walmart and some 97 cent snowflake table cloths we were able to fill the rest in.  I think the tackiness really makes the picture.  (Notice the one strand I brought from home that's not like the others?)

 While taking pictures of the kids, Todd would count to three and towards the end was unknowingly counting like Soren.  One, Two Threeeeeeeeeeeeee (3 being in a higher pitch than 1 and 2.)

Besides my tacky backdrop everything else went really well and we can't believe that Christmas is less than ten days away!
