4th of July

Todd finally had a day off!  Thank you America because he's gone from 6:45 am and usually gets home around 6pm.  I wish I could say our weekends are relaxing, but me and Todd decided we don't know how to relax.  There's always something to clean, pick up or fix around the house.  Anyways we were happy to hang out together on Thursday with the boys and Kaylee.  We start our days early so after preparing food for the BBQ went went blueberry picking at 8am and it was crowded, luckily we had Soren there to reach the low berries for us.

Such a trooper.  Kaylee picked the most blueberries.  Probably because Soren wasn't taking her blueberries and trying to put them back on the bush.
Always happy to be along for the ride.

Tommy helping dad pay for the blueberries.
For the fourth we had lots of friends over for a BBQ and some fireworks.  Todd was excited about his "illegal" M150s, but they turned out to be a glorified pop-it.  Todd was disappointed but his mortars were a big success.

Soren was so cute waiving his flag, but after being flagged in the eye and stabbed with the stick it was abruptly taken away.
The grill master.  Todd grilled 50  kabobs for everyone and couldn't eat a single one because they were chicken.  One day we will upgrade to a smoker and BBQ the southern way.
The kids were excited by the worm.  Soren tried touching it and every nearby adult freaked out.  I didn't know ash was something to be afraid of.
I tried all day to get a picture of the boys in their matching shirts, this is the best they would give me.
Soren trying to light a weed on fire.  Such a rebel, especially with his patriotic top hat tattoo.
We had a great 4th of July and the party continued that night and the next morning as we swatted all the flies that were let into the house.  Almost 40 total-gross.  Next time guests ask what they can do before they leave,  I'm going to hand them a fly swatter!
